Cambridge Centre for Myelin Repair Symposium 2026

How can we repair the brain's insulation? That question brought researchers, clinicians and people living with MS together at the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute on 13–14 May 2026. Over a day and a half, the Cambridge Centre for Myelin Repair's annual symposium explored the cutting edge of myelin repair and neuroimmunology. Leading voices from across Europe took the stage: Dr Alerie Guzmán de la Fuente (Alicante), Professor Tanja Kuhlmann (Münster), Professor Tim Czopka (Edinburgh) and Professor Declan Chard (UCL). Early career researchers held their own in quick-fire data blitz talks and a buzzing poster session. One of the highlights came on day two, when MS Together, a charity supporting young adults aged 18–35 affected by MS, joined for a public afternoon on how lab science and lived experience can shape each other. And because great science deserves a proper send-off, it all wrapped up with a garden party!!
